So, this is, essentially, a Christian book and crafts store with an espresso machine. But- this is hands down THE best place to do quiet work if you need a makeshift office space in Mbale!! The building stays cool on even the hottest days, there are ceiling fans, it's a few small rooms and you can set up your laptop, jump on their Rokespot and get right to it. Of course, the coffee and cakes they serve are amazing, and reasonably priced. The staff is super accommodating and even let me finish a Teams meeting even though it went beyond the normal closing time!! I have actually bought some of their crafts before, as well, and they are great quality. It's run as a nonprofit, so, please do buy drinks while you're working and using their Yaka-the signs posted on the outlets say as much and it's not a big ask. Also, I love the Art Deco building vibe-the building is well maintained, but from 1948, and there are a few other art deco buildings across and next to it. Never actually realized Mbale had this little Art Deco corner until just now. Speaking of hot days-great Ice Tea for when you're tired of coffee
